Like the entire process, we are happy to help you prep for the interview. Our initial Zoom meeting is to help you and your loved one find a comfortable, aesthetically pleasing location in their home. This helps us determine lighting, sound quality, the best background, and video framing. To make this as easy as possible, we’ve created a PDF for this: Preparing For Your Interview. But overall, the most important aspect is your loved one’s comfort. And our one-of-a-kind, plug-and-play Remote Filming Kit makes your Family Film as professional as possible.

Good WiFi connection at your loved one’s home, a Zoom account, and a laptop. A scanner is good to have, too. But that’s optional. For the tech stuff, that’s it. Everything is packed inside a padded travel organizer (this protects all the equipment and allows you easy access and re-packing).

• Sony Digital Voice Recorder with professional-grade lavaliere mic (this is to record your family member’s story with the best possible audio).

We complete a rough edit of your Family Film. This helps us create a custom list for the best photos to help tell their story. We will then email your Personalized Photo PDF List to you. After we receive your photos, we can begin finalizing your Family Film.

The majority of printers have scanners. If you have one but have never used it before, we have a PDF for that: How To Scan Photos Like A Pro. Once you contact us to begin creating your Family Film, we'll provide it as a complimentary gift. We then create a secure, private Dropbox folder on our business account for you to safely upload your photos.

We export out your Family Film’s audio and add meta data and a cover photo. This is what you see on Amazon, Audible, or iTunes for an audiobook’s cover and description. We also add chapter markers for easy and quick progress retrieval.

We transcribe your finished Family Film’s audio into a Word document. We then edit it for grammatical errors and print by re-working it into a readable, comprehensive sentence, paragraph structure, and chapters for easy reading. After you’ve approved the book, we will professionally design the layout of the eBook like you would see on Amazon or Barnes & Noble. We will also incorporate 10-15 photos into the design.

Your Family Film is delivered digitally and password protected on our professional Vimeo account. (This is optional. If you don't want your Family Film online, we completely understand and respect your privacy). You also receive three Flash Drives to share with other family members. Each personal drive contains:
